KETCHUP

A smooth, thick sauce with a spicy, sweet and tart flavor that usually is used as a condiment. Tomato ketchup is the most common type. However, ketchup can be made from other ingredients, such as mushrooms, cranberries or walnuts. Ketchup is often used as a condiment with various dishes including French fries (chips), hamburgers, sandwiches and grilled or fried meat. It may also be used as a basis or ingredient for marinades, sauces and dressings.
