SESAME

Sesame seeds are often served as a garnish for breads and cakes. They are a basic ingredient along with honey, in pastel a Greek traditional sweet. They can be ground into a paste more or less thick: sesame butter and tahini. Sesame fat is composed of 82% unsaturated fatty acids. The nutrients in sesame seeds are better assimilated when the consumed in the form of oil, paste, or butter.
