A melon like, pear shaped fruit. Papayas have from greenish yellow to yellow-orange skin and golden orange meat. The seed cavity has tiny black seeds. Papayas taste like a cross between peaches and melons. They are fragrant and very sweet with a creamy, spoon able consistency.
