Traditional lenten sweet made of sesame - in tahini form - and sugar, the main dish of the Lenten family dinner. It is also popular in the Balkans, the Middle East and North Africa. Can be eaten with bread as a snak, or on its own, sometimes served with lemon and cinammon. Halva can contain nuts or cocoa.
